That about sums it up. That's why I never bothered to go see it.

In the movie, if you look real fast, on the outside(on the roof) of the parts store where they get their gofast parts is a red Ferrari looking car. That is a Kelmark GT. I have a '78 Kelmark GT(1800lb) that I've just installed a '87 Turbo II into. Its the first kelmark to have a Turbo II in it and it was a real job to fit, as I had to make(machine) a lot of the parts. It took two years to build. I should be able to do wheelies with it, but I'm adding lead bars up front to stop that.

Haltech E6K

3" stainless Exhaust

Racing Beat pre-muffler, Supertrapp muffler

Stuff Transaxle, Porsche 944 stub axles, swingaway axles

Bosch fuel pump,Alum. fuel cell, CB Performance 4-wheel disc brakes, Jamar pedals, Halon fire supression system

Why add more weight to a good thing? If this is just a street car you really wont be doing wheelies at every red light will you? But, on the other hand, if its a drag car why not just add wheelie bars in the back?

If it were mine I would just let it stand up though.

This is an old pic, I've been waiting for a sunny day to take pic's, but here in Washington state that will probable be in July. As to the lead, I'm going to autocross this summer and I was afraid that down the back Straight(130mph+) I might get a little light in the front end. Although the first Kelmarks back in the mid 70s had mid-engines Olds V-8s and Road & Track Mag. took one to 202mph at the salt flats(also 101/2 sec in the quarter, I have a pic of one doing a wheelie off of the line!)

I've got about the same HP as the Olds V-8 with a lot less weight. My transaxle's fourth gear is an overdrive and the math says that at 7000rpm I should be doing 165mph. The fastest I've ever been is 140+ in a 427 Corvette I used to own and at anything over 125mph it got real light in the front end!!
