I think I would a)move, b) arm myself to the teeth c) get police stickers for my car.

Thats just unreal as far as justice and personal safety is concerned.

Yeah, I would expect something along the lines of the least violent first. But to just open the floodgates doesnt exactly send the right message, if they know there is no room to hold them, they will just re offend again again, they may as well just rip out a few pages of the criminal code.

I think its more of a step in the right direction rather than the latter.

first step in permanently decriminalizing drugs, mary jane particularly, prevents people in jail fighting about their crime now no longer being considered illegal.

new jersey is close to approving a med. marijuana bill too. i think its 12 states now.

When people who used to make 80k a year are now starving the last thing on people's minds is caring if he's smokin' some reefer, really. Worst case scenario Dorito sales will increase 75%.

California just became Canada, no jail time for drug selling, drug using, drug producing, drug trafficing, no matter what drug it is.. Same thing for property and weapons offences, assaults... Here we see the same people in the news over and over and over again, then just about all of them come to the conclusion they are untouchable and they kill someone..

We have a drug related shooting epademic in western Canada right now, and some innocent people have become caught in the crossfire, most of the the shooters had slap on the wrist drug convictions, same with some of the intended targets.

I agree that catching Joe blow with an ounce should hardly be a jailable offence, maybe 20 days hard labour on a road crew, but 55,000 people, I 'll bet there is some Bad *****'s in there.

there is an idea- put them to work on the roads, get rid of the road crews, and I mean more then picking up trash on a 1 mile stretch of road, im saying let them do more work.

I can see it now, some dude will be holding the flag for people to slow down, then bolt up the ramp to freedom

I agree, and they'll have some useful skills once they're out.

kalifournia is really in a pretty dire state. there are 2 reasons why they are releasing prisoners, the first is budget, the second is due to the fact that the conditions are like being in an elevator with the insane clown posse...

the budget thing has actually come to a head, the state is 40 billion short, the cities and counties are millions short (san jose for example is 40million short). the state has stopped writing checks (checques for you kanooks).

quite where all that money goes is a mystery, our roads are ****, no healthcare, no public transportation, etc etc
