So my oil metering valve was leaking about a quart a week and decided to change it today with the one i bought like 6 months ago and never got around to change. One little problem, I didnt have the gasket. So I went to my local advanced auto and asked the guy for the gasket I needed, Figuring that 1% chance they might actully have it. Not only didnt they have it but it wasnt even listed in there computer.

The clerk asked me what it was and i procedded to explane to the clerk about the oil injection system.

This is when Mr. Know it all spoke from behind. "I've never herd of one, been working on rx-7s for years and never saw one!" I turned around expeting a toothless bastard wearing denim overalls and a straw hat, and he didnt let me down! There he was in the flesh! So i asked him what he called it, I said i only know it by one other name as the oil valve. He said there is no such thing! He never saw one! I just said, OH! Turning to the clerk with a **** eating grin and said "I stand corrected! Ring my oil and filter up SIR!"

He was complete with a rusted out 5 color paint job 1989 ford F150.

So I went home and used rubber gasket maker insted.

Let this be a lesson, the wise man is still alive and traveling in his old truck, probably listening to classic country music.

OK, here you go, went to an exhaust shop today to look at a few different items for the vert, one of the guys from the shop goes outside and walks around and crawls under my ride. Proceeds to walk back in and tell me that he has seen tons of these cars before but it has been awhile since he has seen one in such good shape. I thought wow that's pretty nice of the guy, and as the thought was almost finished in my head he asks me what year of volkswagen it was!! needless to say I decided to take my business some where else, how dare he say that!! So I feel you pain

From primus, the Frizzle Fry album....

Mr. Knowitall

They call me Mr. Knowitall

I will not compromise.

I will not be told what to do.

I shall not step aside.

They call me Mr. Knowitall

I have no time to waste.

My mouth it spews pure intellect.

And I've such elegant taste.

They call me Mr. Knowitall.

I sup the aged wine.

Oh I could tell such wonderous tales

if I should find the time.

I must be Mr. Knowitall

For ideas they come in bounds.

I am Mr. Knowitall

So spread the word around.

They call me Mr. Knowitall

I am so eloquent.

Perfection is my middle name

And whatever rhymes with eloquent.
