So, I saw my chiropractor again today. I see him once every 3 weeks. He adjusted my neck, as he usually does, and observed it was somewhat out of alignment. I told him I was sure it was, since I had been watching TV in bed more than usual lately.

This brings me to my question: Is it possible to mount an LCD television to the ceiling, such that it could be viewed whilst lying in bed? To me it would seem that the answer is obviously yes, but I was interested in hearing what the resident experts here might say about such an installation.

Please discuss freely.

I don't think there is anything in the technology that would inhibit it from being mounted in any position. So I would say yes it is possible. Just make sure you have it mounted to a crossbeam and not just to the ceiling. Other than that I don't see any problems with it.

Could also come in handy for the wife in a boring sexual relationship.

What are you saying, exactly?

Hmmm. Maybe run the feed from a video cam? Kind of like a mirror on the ceiling, only more high tech, but just as classy!

I dont know how you can be face down yet looking at the ceiling...and if your wife can do that I sincerely doubt you have a boring sexual relationship...or at least SHE doesnt!

clearly the answer is mount it on the ceiling, and get her to ride on top so you can get banged and watch tv without hurting your neck

one day we will have the technology so that you will also be simultaneously eating a steak
