The Florida Crackers are an interesting group. People should do research before they assume what something means. It used to be an honor to be a Florida Cracker, and many descendants are proud of their heritage.
Oh, and it has nothing to do with slaves or anything racial. I'm pretty sure they round up wild cattle from the unhospitable parts of Florida's early history.
