Surely not?

A normal car glass shop here did one for a resto. Wasn't cheap, (AUD $440)as it was cut out of something else bigger with a similar curvature but still....

I thought so too.

There I am thinking, 'windscreen guy ooka ooka' and this 400 year old 'doing this since I was 10' dude rocks in, scratches nuts 'geez mate this is old I can probably do it but it'll cost ya at least $350' Yeah cool we need it.......takes out the old screen & goes away, come back 3 days l8ter with a perfect fit newie.

'How the fvck.......?'

'Mate if I told you what I know you wouldn't need ME wouldya?' I WILL tell ya it's cut out of a bigger screen with a matching curve..........

'Good point. Gimme a few of ya business cards..'

Isn't $440 cheap for a windshield? Especially an antique?

Mazda wants $500 for an R1 lip, I can't imagine what they want for a windshield.

Not really. I get the impression there are a lot more old cars on the road here than in the States?

Garden variety cars cost $150-300 for front glass. My 82 Cosmo was too-fiddy with tint in the glass that was impossible to tell from the factory one.

You get a screen made by the local supplier of glass to Ford & Holden etc. Still lami, tinted like OEM, but not a genn-ew-ine part
