Quick C++ Question

Hey guys, if any of you ever programmed in VB u member the rlly easy windows and dialogs and what not, i know its harder in c++ and that its API but does anyone know a step by step tutorial, a good one, on how to make a window'd/menu'd c++ program? I am fluent in console i wanna do API now.

Use Visual C++ and pick Windows Application Wizard, then copy it's code around.

Or just grab a gnu/linux distribution and you have everything you need to start development already and plenty of sample code to look at for direction. Qt is fine for c++ gui development, and theres lots of documentation available online and included with most distributions, and alot of experienced users available online who are generally happy to help.... check out IRC if you havent already.
