Aight... I know I'm posting this in the wrong place, but theres not much activity elsewhere at the moment....

My friend has a TII. It has a straight-through exhaust, ported wastegate, AFC, manual boost controller, stock IC, and a hybrid turbo...The Turbo (from what has been described to me) Is stock on the exhaust side (to keep the stock manifold and wastegate) and upgraded significantly on the compressor side. No matter what he does, he cannot boost over 10 lbs. Even pinching the wastegate line..

What should he look for?

Could the wastegate be ported too big? Ecu? I can't figure it out...

Oh, on a side note... I DID tell him he's a moron for not doing proper fuel modifications... He has a AFC, but I don't thing that's gonna cut it. I think he want's to run like 18 psi... He ran that with the stock turbo, and somehow didn't pop....

how do you know it only goes to 10psi? its possible that the intake or exhaust is too restrictive to make more than 10psi. its theoretically possible to do about 13-14psi on the stock injectors but its not a great idea

Well, all of this is over the phone... So....

But he said that no matter what he does to the boost controller, it wont go over 10psi. It has a full open 3" exhaust. I don't know what to tell him...

I told him to check the wastegate for proper operation, and the BOV and MBC for leaks. He had none of the problems until the turbo upgrade...

hmm thats really wierd, mine setup like that would do 11-13psi on the top end. i wonder if his intake is too small?

I'll ask... I'm pretty stumped if it's not a leak

I don't either! He has a beautiful TII!! He just got the impression it has the durability of a Supra.... I need to get him on here, but he's not very keyboard proficient...
