ok finished pulling it out today. got to sit in the engine bay and do it. no too bad at all https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png anyway i think i found the leak but this rad is REALLY REALLY REALLY OLD.... lol... i'm probaly going to buy a new one because one of the outlets is cracked by the end tank, also a row of fins is missing. i went through the effort might as well buy a new radiator for it and not have to worry about it again https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png maybe turbovr6 and i can put in the holley and intake manifold since half of it's apart anyway https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

1Revvin7 01-26-2003 04:06 PM

Nex thing you know Vosko will be putting all the left overs from his FD in it. I wonder what The stock-twins and Ic could do on a blazer :yum:

Leetheslacker 01-26-2003 05:30 PM

black?

vosko 01-26-2003 06:16 PM

i personally like the baby blue rust color https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

75 Repu 01-27-2003 10:33 AM

Just add 44 inch superswampers and a CB radio..

wdwflash 01-27-2003 10:36 AM

Saw the rust in back of the engine, you ever try POR-15. The stuff is magic. Don't let it dry on your skin though, it doesn't come off. Can't tell, but it looks like you've got Warn hubs(or the GMC equivalent), always a good idea to take them apart every couple of years and grease them(seems like everyone forgets them until they need to lock in the front hubs.) Have you got the optional posi rear end?

vosko 01-27-2003 10:40 AM

actually the hubs are broken. i have warn hubs sitting in my room waiting to be put on. i tried to engage the hubs and they broke.... oh well. it doesn't feel like i have a posi rear. i'm pretty sure its an open rear. i have done a nice burnout in it though https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

OMG, what is all that white stuff all over the floor..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

oh Maybe its that "snow" stuff I've read about in books..

vosko 01-27-2003 10:48 AM

ok i just ordered a brand new 3core radiator $120 shipped. should have it in stock. if they don't it takes 24 hours lol. ok so maybe there is a good thing about owning an old blazer..... everything is SUPER CHEAP!

i would just keep that blazer, and keep it running, thats the cheapest way. my gsl-se is an example of that

mike

75 Repu 01-27-2003 11:39 AM

Hey Mike, got a spare oil pan from you GSL-SE?

j9fd3s 01-27-2003 11:46 AM

i'll have to look, i think i do

mike

vosko 01-27-2003 12:53 PM

ironically the blazer is the best running vehicle..... the Audi could run good but i don't feel like spending time and money on it....

j9fd3s 01-27-2003 12:55 PM

i did a timing belt in one of those audis, they are a pita!

mike

75 Repu 01-27-2003 12:59 PM

Gotta love the simplicity of those older chevys

vosko 01-27-2003 01:02 PM

well i worked on this audi. it has 160k miles on it now. i did a head job on it. new timing cover. for some reason it always annhilates the drivers side cv axle. it thinks it has 1000hp.... instead of 100hp. right now the cold start injector is clogged or something runs like crap when its cold and has NO POWER... not that had it much before but it actually did something @ WOT atleast made some noise https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

vosko 01-27-2003 01:03 PM

the only problem i had working on the truck was i couldn't feel my hands because it was so cold and i had to climb in the engine bay https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

j9fd3s 01-27-2003 01:06 PM

you did a cylinder head on the audi! dude thats a huge job

mike

vosko 01-27-2003 01:09 PM

yeah it took forever! lapped the valves, engine runs pretty good. had the head milled so the compression is a little higher that was 4-5 years ago now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/blackeye.gif

j9fd3s 01-27-2003 01:14 PM

thats a good thing :bigthumg:

mike

vosko 01-27-2003 01:17 PM

i did that before i even had a license! i guess i did a good job been running for 50k miles https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png it has the original automatic tranny with 160k miles on it too :smirk:

j9fd3s 01-27-2003 01:28 PM

ok thats just scary

mike

vosko 01-27-2003 01:43 PM
