If there is a worse example of a luxury SUV than the Escalade, I'd like to see it.

I cannot believe the kind of stupidity people display buying them. They're CHEAPLY built, way too OVERPRICED, and the ride quality is as shitty as that of a MACK truck in the hands of a newB.

I went to my Caddy dealer just to see what all the hype was about, and I was serioulsy dissapointed. The interior is horrible, it looks soo cheap, and so Chevy. There's plastic everywhere, the gauges are just ugly and the whole layout of the truck is poorly displayed. The sticker on it said 55K I think, and for that kind of money, you could buy a Navigator WITH 22" chrome spinners and still have money left over.

Please, reconsider and make the Gator your new dream SUV. 3K less MSRP, looks better, drives beautifully (I've driven both), looks awsome, it's powerfull, doesn't look cheap, and true SUV enthousiasts will appreciate the choice when they see you in one.

BTW, all you have to do is go to each website and compare the features. The Gator just kills the Lade in standard features and luxury options.

Gator

wow, I've never heard of it referred to as the "gator." maybe because the whole FSU-football-we-hate-florida-gators thing in this town.

If I had nothing better to do with my money, one of my many vehicles would probably have spinners. Of course, in the same garage would most likely be several high-performing purpose-built machines.

I dont think anyone will disagree with me that spinners were made for SUV's Latrell Spreewell (SP?) was the guy that basically invented them. The first set of spinners were made custom for or by him I cannot remember for sure.

I just think the hubcap spinners are a joke.

I like the way they look, but I'll probably never own a car that I could live with putting them on....just not my style. Some people like "show" some people like "go".

I have been seeing a lot of these around town lately. Please understand I am not laughing at a funny joke on the radio,... I am laughing at YOU!

http://www.hubcapnation.com/spinning_hubcaps.htm

THEN SAVE UP AND THEN BUY SOME REAL SPINNERS!!

Please people, do not even consider this. It is the same as cutting out a cardboard model of a FD and taping it to you're Corolla. It looks dumb and screams I am too poor to afford spinners and too stupid to realize everyone is laughing at me.

Thank You.

Reminds me of this one day in school I saw this Mexican kid with a hubcap spinner safety pinned to his backpack. I was like, "What the ****?" When I showed my friends, we just started to crack jokes about him.

Alright, this is for you engineer-type folk. I remember reading somewhere that if you have sinners on a motorcycle, you could stay up when you stop, due to gyroscopic forces or something. Sounds bogus to me, but so does a gyroscope. Could/does this happen?

Your wheels help keep you upright while moving as it is. gyroscopic effect like you said.

I could see the 'spinner' helping that while stopped, but I think it would really throw off your handling while moving. And it would only help when coming to a quick stop from high speed, or the spinner won't be going near fast enough.

I wonder what will happen to all those spinners when the bearing gets corroded?

Will the bearing break, causing a rampage of aluminum saw blades zipping down the highway on their own?

Anyone that's been hit by a wheel seperated from it's axle can picture how much fun that is!!
