Programming

So I'm taking a microcontrollers class, and I made a program that can basically read in a letter or number and then display it on a screen repeatedly. The microcontrollers we are using were new in the 80's. Still it's pretty neat, I can make a completely useless program using equipement that is obsolete. Fun times. Discuss.

Sounds like fun. Last academic experience I had was a Unix class back in 2001. I really enjoyed writing programs, or scripts, or whatever they were called.
Yeah I don't know about all that. This is just basically telling a computer how to get ready, wait, then accept and interpret a signal from let's say a keyboard. So it will read that you hit the key that corresponds to the letter Q. Then it stores this and then outputs it to the monitor where the letter Q will be displayed.
I learned a little bit about coding and programming webpages in a class in 02 but I don't remember much of it.
