Hey all I have Rikki's sony cybershot and a few weeks ago I dropped it. Ever since It reads an error code and the focus function no longer works.

I cracked it open to see if I could find a loose wire or something but no luck. Although I did something that managed to fix it for a day. The problem came right back the next day.

Ok I have tried sony's website and have searched the internet tirelessly for days trying to get some insight on this. I am out of ideas. I can't even find a local electronics repair to take it to.

I am open to suggestions.

Seriously, tho. All of those cameras have an electronic focus mechanism. It's simply a logic circut that locks the focus onto whatever it can tell is the closest focusable object. Probably your only option is to send it to Sony.

Yea that is what I was thinking. I went to Ritz camera today and they said it would be a $75 estimate that would go to the cost of repairs if any are done.

LOL @ Ryan
I told him when I did it.

I did it at the track and he knows I'll take care of whatever damage I did.

Even if that means replacing the camera.
