UN Category: Inoffensive Centrist Democracy

Civil Rights: Some Economy: Strong Political Freedoms: Very Good

Location: The North Pacific

The Armed Republic of Croatermany is a tiny, pleasant nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The small government juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 10%. A healthy private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Uranium Mining and Door-to-door Insurance Sales.

Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Croatermany's national animal is the 1 eyed people eater and its currency is the cooter.

Civil Rights: Below Average

Economy: Powerhouse

Political Freedoms: Few

Location: the South Pacific

The Republic of Srceland is a tiny, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Trout Farming, Arms Manufacturing, and Information Technology industries.

Crime is a serious problem. Srceland's national animal is the cheetah, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the rogue dollar.

Just checked back to this site and found this under the issues :

Dalcoro Decides:

Siamese twins on the Dinner Table?

The Issue

In a bid to provide a new revenue stream for Dalcoro's Beef-Based Agriculture industry, it has been suggested that siamese twins could be added to the menu.

The Debate

"The fact is, the siamese twin population is out of control," says Beef-Based Agriculture spokesperson Akira Frederickson. "We have to do something about them anyway, so why not market them as tasty snacks? We could have siamese twin kebabs, siamese twin pies, siamese twin-on-a-sticks--the possibilities are endless! Let's not pass up this golden opportunity to provide a feast, if you will, for our economy."

[Accept]

"I agree that something needs to be done about siamese twin over-population," says random passer-by Anne-Marie Jefferson, "but eating them? That's kind of gross. Let's just shoot the ones we have to and shovel their bodies into ditches like normal."

[Accept]

"I am shocked and appalled!" declared SPCA President Steffan Steele. "If anyone needs to be culled, it's us humans. The siamese twins were here first, remember? We need to take this as a sign to get our industry--agriculture in particular--to back off. The siamese twin is part of what makes Dalcoro a great nation!"

[Accept]

The Government Position

The government has yet to formalize a position on this issue.

If you wish, you may simply dismiss this issue.
