I have been looking for a good satellite imaging site for quite some time, and I finally found one. Maybe I'm the only crazy one who looks for this stuff, but if any of you are interested, check this out:

I found my apartment, my dorm, my office, and my mom found her house...pretty damn cool.

 

Damn my addy is too new.. doesn't exist yet.

 

Terraserver was a joint project between Compaq and Microsoft to show of their new hardware and SQL 7 respectively. I used to have the source that made it work around here somewhere, pretty intresting stuff!

 

Why are their images so old, you can get newer sattelite images off od mapsource....

Some of the images on there are from 2000+...I guess it just depends on the location.

 

I get them (newer sattelite images) all the time on NeoTrace when I run someone's ip I can get a sattelite image of the area.

 

What's NeoTrace?

 

It' and internet tracking thing from McAfee

 

Sounds like some pretty powerful software.
