Well I got my powerbook in the mail yesterday. I got the new updated 17" model. The screen is HUGE!!! So far it has been amazing. The OS is awesome, and fit and finish of the powerbooks are awesome. I'll keep you guys posted as to how I feel about it seeing as how this is my first mac, or the first mac anyone I know has ever bought. So far I am very impressed, scary to say I might be a mac person soon.

Needless to say, I am stoked.

i really like macs but they are expensive

the new G5 with the 23" studio display would be nice to have.

It's not that expensive if you consider what you get compared to other manufacturers.

best thing about macs is no need to turn it off, just start doing something important but dont save, and all of a sudden *blam* it shuts right down for you, it's such a hot feature.

My XP hasnt needed a reboot since i installed it on this comp or my server.

Server: 500MHZ K6, 256MB ram, 6 months on XP.

Mine: XP 2800+, 512mb, 3 months (might be 2) on XP.

No crashes, just constant run/use.
