I am in the Land Surveying Business and have been for close to 20 years now. So its safe me to say I have been around and worked with Potheads for close to 20 years.
There are exceptions to every rule remember that.
I have found that the majority of potheads I have worked with care about nothing else except getting back home to smoke out.
The only reason they are at work is to make enough extra money to buy more pot. When they are at work they are unmotivated. At one company we had 3 crews one crew was real clean cut they didn't even drink, the other 2 crews were potheads, the clean cut crew did the same amount of work as the two other crews combined.
I have family members that ar epotheads and live for their pot. One is 27 years old no car and a shitty little aprtment to live in. He can't hold down a job, the only place he can work is the place daddy manages and daddy drives him to and from work every day. But he gets some good quality hydro nuggets. So he's cool.
Dont waste your time doing something illegal just to see if its fun. What if you really like it and it consumes your life?
I tried it once in Highschool and it was a waste of time for me. Firstly why would you injest or inhale something a criminal prepared for you. Would you take candy from a stranger on the street? The pot I tried in high school was laced with PCP and being I was really clean it pretty much freaked me out being out of control for a few hours.
I never wnet near it again. I'll stick with my Beer and liquor on weekends. Actually I check myself with that too and will go a few weeks with out to make sure I am not addicted. Especially if I have been drinking a lot lately. Alcoholism runs in my family so I am careful.

I'll back up that argument too, I know POTHEADS per say that are lazy and all they do is smoke pot all day...but thats prolly because they were lazy before and pot is just what they do now because they are lazy.
My next door neighbour smokes pot...hell...both my neighbours smoke pot. Middle class neighbourhood.
One I guess could be considered a "burnout" I guess, but he is definately not lazy. Has a nice truck and a brand-new SUV for his wife to drive and his house is constantly under renovation, with him behind the resto.
Than, the other neighbour is very, very clean cut. Is rather well to do and is manager of a business. Yet can enjoy pot in a responsible manner...and wont drive while under the "influence".
