Everytime I post a pic it tells me I can't post that type of file. Then if I change it to jpeg then it posts but you click on it, and nothing show but a blank page. I try to post pics from MY pictures on my PC. Its not from a URL or anything.

You click on what?

Danno 08-25-2003 01:41 PM

click on the pic to view thie pic in the posting. The pic shows a s a link and you click on it then you get the blank page.

phinsup 08-25-2003 01:45 PM

You can't link to a file on your computer, you have to upload the pic. This is done by using the "browse" button from the topic posting screen.

Danno 08-25-2003 01:48 PM

That is what I do and then I click on th pic that I want to post and I either get the message saying that I can't post that type of file. So then I change it to jpeg and it accepts it but then doesn't show the pic in the meesage.

When you change it to .jpeg are you just renaming it? You have to convert it, you can't for example just take a .bmp file and name it a .jpeg file and expect to open it. When you change the file to .jpeg can you open it?

It would be funny if he was doing that!!!

EDIT: And if you are doing that Danno, then open paint, open the original pic in paint, go to save as, and then from the "Save As Type" select JPEG!!!

Danno 08-25-2003 01:59 PM

Well, I use a program called HP Photo Editor which came with my printer. It's miraculously short of PS, but it does great work. Now you camera should have a lower resolution setting.

Danno 08-25-2003 02:15 PM

Yeah I will have to change the resolution on the camera next time I take some pics. Thanks for the help guys.
