i was gonna buy this rex a while back but didnt have the money and i saw an ad for it today and im goin to check it out tomorow. its been wrecked but its subposed to still run and be drivable and i have a parts car with good fenders and i know a guy that does paint. anyway just wondering what to look for before i buy, i dont know the mileage yet either but its an n/a and just out of curiosity will 86-88 fenders body panels ect bolt on to an 89+? if so i can just swap panels if thats all thats wrong with it.

Since these cars are not full framed cars,theres alot to look for..bend radiator supports..for ft end damage...bent struts..trut towers...these cars dont take much to be totaled..test drive it..does it drive straight..or does the steering wheel want to jumps out of your hand...can you do a U turn ,just by letting go of the wheel?lol

ok heres the deal the car has been hit in the passenger side if the frame and alighnment are all ok and its just cosmetic im going to swap parts from my 86 if possible if not then i have a new motor tranny and interior i know you can swap in 89+ motor tranny into an 86 but is it that hard to do? thanks for quick replies and ill update a bit more when i go to see the car

Youll have to swap the ECU out as well I believe. The bumpers are different but you can interchange them, they wont look right unless you change all the bodyside mouldings as well.
