As you can see it has all kinds of **** done to it.

As it sits now (some of these will be removed to use in my tII, hence my purchase of the car)

Cusco strut bars, front and rear, as well as cusco triangle rear bar

ground control 2.5" coil over kit

racing beat sway bar front

4 channel (4 foggers, plumbed into intake runners) direct port nitrous 50 shot installed presently.

short shifter,

s-afc

efan, cold air intake

racing beat header and presilencer, corksport catback (loudest car on the planet right now)

as shown it has mustang 17" rims, and dot racing hoosiers

a decent amount of miles (don't ever remember) but it has been taken car or for the most part.

needs a proper sized battery for street driving, that's pretty much it. It has cold a/c and p/s. just throw some 87 octane and a lil premix and go. (i love the simplicity of a n/a.)

this car handles like a dream, and has been complimented by a its rx7 race car driver (open track day at moroso speedway) as the best handling 2nd gen he has driven/ridden in. "it doesn't make any mistakes"

the only reason that I'd even consider selling it is because of money. I don't need two investments right now. and insurance on two rx7's (when I can only drive one) would suck. I'll check with my insurance agent and see if she can hook me up.

I know a lot of you guys have 3rd gens, and 2nd gens for daily drivers, how does that work out for you?? do you wish you would've gotten a lesser maintenance vehicle??

I also can get ahold of a older toyota truck that isn't in the best shape, but is almost gauranteed to run for a while. Cool factor is non-existant with that tho.

sidenote: I pulled out of this guys driveway just putting on the car, and not 15 seconds later a red civic hatchback pulls up next to me asking "turbo??" I said, naaa, that one is at home. He then informed me that his car was turbo!! man I can't wait to find that guy when my tII is in action!! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

race car or street car?? can't tell by this shot

For the record the car has been setting for about 3 months so it needs a good shining and a vaccum.

i have the strut tower tops w/ speakers in the passenger seat

I voted rob a bank with it, then push it into my garage. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

The tires a slicks not D.O.T. approved FYI

Stuff your swapping onto your 10th

Corksport Cat-back $300

Coil Overs $240 fro the springs (just got mine they cost $60 each x 4)

Front Camber Plates from Mazdatrix - $260

Rims w/ Kick ass slicks - $300 rims $500 slicks = $800

Nos Kit (you know you want it on your TII!!) - $500

So lets see what we have here - $2100 worth of stuff off of a car you paid what? $2K for?

No matter what you do you win.

I pick Soylent green

Jims5543 10-14-2003 08:39 PM

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif depends on how much of a hit it is

Jims5543 10-14-2003 08:43 PM

BTW - Why didn't you crack open the NOS and lay the smack down on ricer boy??

I am sad he sold it. I mean good for you but I am still sad.

mazdadrifter 10-14-2003 08:47 PM

ya I kinda feel bad, that's why I'm thinking about keeping it, this thing was pieced together right, not many cars can have that said for them. Maybe I'll throw a 500 dollar macco job, and just go with it. Tune it lean, and hop on the interstate for ky.

He didn't give me the nos bottle yet, but I haven't forgotten. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png He's bringin the konigs over tomorrow with the cat-back. check your pm.

9Second7 10-14-2003 08:47 PM

that's kindof what I'm starting to think, I'll just make a pact w/ myself not to try to make this thing fast. It's a rotary, and the way I'll take car of it, it will be as reliable as a honda. People will freak when they see this thing turn. The ass end just follows you around like a lost puppy. Just can't seem to shake it.

man I'd love to get that toyota :( I kno if i pass that thing up, I'll need a truck the next week https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...O_DIR https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683664.gif

Jims5543 10-14-2003 08:59 PM

vosko 10-14-2003 09:00 PM

yeah, it's the o ring at the cap. I'm ordering one from mazdaspeed tomorrow. I was watching it... I topped it off before I left and let it run for about 15 minutes when i got home and it never got hot, so I guess that's good. That o ring, and a 40 dollar battery and I should be set!!

You think i should drive it to work tomorrow??

Jims5543 10-14-2003 09:05 PM

Sure. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

EXACTLEY. You see where I'm coming from. this thing turns like an rx7, looks like an rx7, feels like an rx7, but just doesn't GOOOOO like a turbo rx7. I mean, even if I'm servicing my tII I'll have this thing to have fun in.

I might go for 250k with this motor, I was able to get 225 out of my turbo motor, before premix. Change that oil baby!!

vosko 10-14-2003 09:08 PM

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif With those slicks on there I'd probably break something!! wait untill I get some cheapies on there.

Vosko if i get a burnout video will you host it?? You will not believe how loud this car is right now. I swear to god if I were to go outside right now and fire it up right now, the cops would show up and not ask questions, just shoot me and impound the car. I have never heard a street car as loud as this. Gonna fix that soon tho https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Jims5543 10-14-2003 09:11 PM

I say keep it. One day when you got some extra cash drop a ITS motor in and that car will zip. Look at Tim 190 RWHP with a ITS engine and stock exhaust.

mazdadrifter 10-14-2003 09:15 PM

plus i'd be my own hero https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif I'm owning two rx7's https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bling.gif

I love my N/A, runs like a champ. I do have a hard time not modding the N/A more. Spending too much money on the T2 though. Sounds like a great deal, buy it!

vosko 10-15-2003 12:12 AM

i'll host it

put the T2 rims on it

mazdadrifter 10-15-2003 02:37 PM

my T2 is an anniversary so the stock rims were white. Don't think it'd look good. I'm going to use the 17's off of my car presently. They don't look bad.

teknics 10-15-2003 05:02 PM

DORIFTO CAR!

kevin.

mazdadrifter 10-19-2003 12:30 PM

well I decided to keep it, going to be changin to a cat back that I have, and I some spare 17"s on it.

I'm going to paint the hood, and sunroof flat black, and be done with it. Don't want to invest a bunch of money on it.

It turns so well right now that I can drift it just by turning hard onto a street. The ass end is tryin to keep up!.
