My one buddy had a 924 turbo, it cost him a **** load of money to fix when it broke. Eventhough most of the parts were stamped vw audi. It was a preety cool car, that is until it caught fire.

Well I guess I'm alowed to least say something here.

I've always wanted a Porsche and my girl wanted a SUV that wasnt to big so we traded in her IS300 and got a Cayenne S. Its pretty fast with the V8 but I'm pushing 22's and it has all wheel drive. I like the room inside, the power and the fact everytime I pull up to at a stop light I dont see my same car next to me.

I hear you on that. I just don't like that fact its a Porsche. I understand they are doing what makes them money. Nevertheless, when I think Porsche....I consider the Cayenne a blasphemous act that strays from their roots for the sake of $$. Kinda like when a band is a "sell-out".

Just my 2cents.

I hear you, but its absurd to think that a car company would continue to make only sports cars when the average U.S. driver has completely lost his mind and chooses to drive a fat, wallowing SUV. Sales of sports coupes was not going to keep Porsche in business. Where's the Toyota Supra? Where's the Mazda RX-7? When all you make is sports cars and people aren't buying sports cars, you've got a problem. Give the Porsche people credit for trying to find a niche in the SUV market.

In business, it's either adapt or die. I'm glad Porsche is trying to adapt.

The 911 is the most successful racecar of all time don't forget. They weren't all pink cabrios.

928's are COOL, now. the the porche purists kinda miss the point, the 928's like the only car porsche has ever built that doesnt have a complete disreguard for the laws of physics!

I always liked the 928. I hear they can be a bit expensive to keep on the road, but I guess that comes with the (Porsche) territory.

So glad to finally find out what I am driving. But do I detect a little "Guido Posing symbols" envy?

How can the 911 not be included on anyone's "real Porsche" list? They've been making the car for 40 years.
