They are made of fiberglass, the parts just look like plastic. I've used 2part epoxy on mine. You cand sand/paint it. It has more flex than fiberglass and it's less messy.

93R1's broken seat was plastic, it was VERY plastic.

Mine is definetly plastic. From what I understand it's usually the 'high end' bikes that are fiberglass or CF.

Well FRP bonds well with plastic, Im sure that epoxy resin would work to but it wont have the same strength as some decent fiberglass. It'll be more brittle because of the lack of the glass.

I think he was suggesting using epoxy resin with glass mat, as opposed to polyester resin..

Sinful 7 is right, I didnt mean to coat the broken plastic in epoxy resin only to fix it



you cant even compare polyester resin to epoxies as far as strength goes.



Fix that seat with just 2 layers of epoxy resin coated 1.5oz matting and it will be plenty strong.
