YES, wtf. In so pissed, the insurance companies want 3000 a year for me to ride the cbr600f4i. Its waiting for me, they just put it together, and i got approved. But when i went to get my insurance they said 3k. I was like WTF, how can anyone afford that? O but its 750 for my dad to ride a year. BS How much do u guys pay to ride your Croch rockets.

That is a little high... does you state require motorcycle insurance... the cost of insurance you could buy a new one every 3 years.



But the stats on the CBR 600 are pretty bad... it's a squid bike so they get totalled in the first 6 months A LOT!!! and that is what insurance companies use... stats.

just talked to my dad, we decided to Fuc*() it. My dads got 5000 hes going to borrow me and im getting my 7 back together. I will have all the toys ive ever wanted! ahah I guess i will have to settle for low 13's.

i have always said **** insurance on a bike cause its not required in FL and quite frankly, i wouldnt be able to afford it.

You could get a naked bike, that would probably lower your insurance a bit. Plus taking a motorcycle riding course will lower it also. Go to progressive.com and mess with the variables like different types of bikes and what kind of coverage. Your insurance will very quite a bit with the different bikes.

It probably would have went down aloooooot after the first term, when you are a first time rider, they usually nail you big time, especially if you dont have a motorcycle license. First year I paid $1200, and that was liability only, if you had a bank loan, they dont require full coverage, but a loan from the manufacturer usually does. The next year I got 6 month insurance for $275 ( keep in mind you really dont want to ride a bike for a full year here in New York ), then the year after that I got a full year for $250.

I had the same problem when I had my CBR600, I then called the Honda Dealership I bought it from because I remember him mentioning an agent.



So I would check with the agent. (Mine was Farmers).



I switched insurance companies 2 years ago when I was going to buy a CBR929 because they had the best rates.... About $12 a month for the bike + my car. I ended up getting a new car instead... :(



I have State Farm, and they have had the best rates for me.

hmmm. that would be nice if MN didn't require insurance, real nice! Guess i will have to look into it. Given me hope. Even for a 1st term i can't afford 3k for insurance. wtf is that bs, they said i could ride a street bike any size for $550. WTF is that, well guess it might save my life.

About a month ago a kid feel asleep behind the wheel and crashed right into one of our Phone Cabinets. The Cabinet has to be replaced, He actually pushed the concrete pad back a full inch (This cabinet is about 4 feet wide by 5-6 feet tall and 8 feet long). He had insurance but just the min State amount of $25K. The Cabinet costs $85K



So this poor dude is FUCKED and will be making morgage sized house payments for nothing...
