On another note, I am going to try to track down this tach issue today. Does anyone know where the switch that is supposed to control the boost is supposed to hooked up? It's a vacuum line to the button...

Very cool, I will have some pics up tomorrow, car drove great on the way home, the tack would cut out everytime I would let off the gas. By the time I got home it has completely cut out. Car runs, idles and drives great.

man I am not looking forward to tracking down this tach issue I am hoping someone has had a similar problem and can give me some ideas as to where I should start.

Other than the tach everything seems to be great, I am very happy. The car blew a little smoke on the first few runs, I am hoping that will clear out since it has been sitting so long. It runs great so I am not too concerned.
Hmm I had a tach problem as well. Mine would cut off and on while driving until it finally went out. It didn't work again until I installed the new engine. I believe I had a loose ground that I secured when I put the new engine in. It was a ground that had a weird plastic black rectangle on the end of the wire. It originally connects to the tranny bell housing but I just secured mine to the body of my car. You might also check the power accesory wire at the starter and the overall condition of the connections on the drivers side power harness.. Other than those I don't really know what I did to fix it, but it works fine now. Also, check all the wires and connections to the trailing coil, thats where the tach reads from I think.

I thought that button you have was a remote start button. I had one of those on my camaro in the exact same location as yours.
