how exactley do the layers work? i cant figure them out at all.

 

what do you mean? it's one of the simple parts of PShop. Any time you paste something into an open picture, it creates a new layer for you to work in. this allows you to modify just part of the picture any way you please. you can apply filters and do other stuff to just one layer at a time, or if you flatten the image, you will only have one layer, with all your stuff in it...i dunno...maybe not the best explanation, but you might get the idea. well if i dont copy and paste something how do i make a layer out of that, to like seperate it all.

 

Use your Lasso Tools...thats what I use to pull sections out of an image.
