The Magnetic Lasso tool is your friend.

I attatched a picture to help you find it. Use it to select the body of the car. What it does is: as you drag the lasso along the body lines of the car (Even the wheel well!) it "Senses" the edge of the object (Using Super-poly-grapho-morphic-telo-tropography....but that's for another lecture).

Try it out, it's amazing. Anyways, Use that to select the car's body. Then, with it selected....mess with all the hue/darkness/color manipulation that you can to that selection (the body).

If you don't know how to use or access color manipulation tools, might I suggest you downgrade and start off with learning Windows first...:P

Thats one way of doin it.

The way I did it was by adding a new layer over the car's pic.. I then choose red, and airbrushed over the car's body.. then I played with the new layer's blending mode which made the red mix perfectly into the picture.. need more info on it . ask here.. But phoenix's way works too.. it all depends on the original picture.. you may have to try different techniques..
