Phins Is Really Broke Now! New New Server Lol
#1
Expect to be on the new server tomorrow. If all goes well. I broke myself doing it, but I can't put up with these new ********, they completely suck.
So, on with the good stuff.
Pentium P4 2.8 gig 1 gig Memory, Dual NIC's 10/100, Dual Hard drives. Two 80 gig drives, one for bandwidth. Lots and lots of stuff the list is very long. I am not going with our old DC these guys come highly recommended so I decided to go with them.
Monitored services 24/7 support 24/7!
With Cpanel the move should be very quickly, we will be on the ip for a couple days, but it will be worth it.
Oh and the last downtime these dude had was last december LOL

It appears that the network issue is due to a DDOS attack, but either way, this is fucked.

DDOS = distributed denial of serivice
Basically a bunch of zombie machines attack a website with blank packets and ****, so the server has to spend split second processing the blank packet, but they're millions of them from tons of machines. So the server overloads and basically says "WTF" and then you notice you can't hit the website.
I dunno if that description is 100% accurate, I read up on DOS and DDOS attacks a few years ago.
