would it last longer outside?
would it last longer outside?
One 5 lbs tank lasts about 10 to 12 kegs and it costs about $12.00 for 5 lbs.... I don't see it as an issue and like I say all the kegerators have an inside storage mount, it would A) look like **** on the outside and you would have to drill and insulate a 3/4 inch diameter hole in and out of the fridge, my guess is the loss in cooling would be more expensive.
Plus if the keg is at 40 and the bottle at whatever, the c02 must enter the keg before it hits the cup, so it will drop to 40. Basically if the temp decreased the gas mass, it would do it whether before inside or out, it's all relative. I would guess.
i thought co2 losses weight when it is cold. but o well
i didn't now the tank lasted that long

who cares about how long some bottle lasts, just go buy more and terrorize town in a drunken rampage!
when i used to work at a bar everytime the tank ran out and you put a fresh one on we wasted alot of beer because the air in the lines. made the beer all foam.
thats valuble beer i dont like to waste.
just trying to help
more air = less changeing tanks = more BEER = drunken rampage
I NEVER run out during a keg, i always weigh the c02 before putting the next keg online so I know where my C02 is. Keeping the tank out or in isn't going to keep you from running out between kegs, you still gotta weigh it either way.
Like I say, I've never heard anything to that effect, but what do I know, i just know how they are all designed LOL

I get at least 10 kegs out of it, but if you are comparing it to a bar keep in mind they usually use a manifold where one tank is driving several systems accross a lot of line, I don't have that much line, maybe 3 feet from keg to tap, think the distance bar bee has to go....
All I know is the c02 will have ultimately be at fridge temp, you don't use much c02 per glass, so even when you are pouring non-stop it's still gonna mix with the beer and reach beer temp. That's what I am thinking anyhow.

some guys in the neighboring dorm had a keg of root beer with a tap out in the front lawn, and some bike cops rode and and pulled out their ticket slips, ready to write us up. they told the cops it was just root beer, and they were like "whatever, let me see that, you smartelic kid". they drank a sip, got all angry and crap, and rode off as we were laughing our asses off!
