English is a Germanic language, French is an Italic language they are not related linguistically.

WWII was more a joint effort, hitting em from both sides as it were. Only the French though the Maginot Line would save them.

Silly French people.

Anyways look at the new Saturn LS200 or 300. Every time I see it I expect to see the Peugeot lion badge. Seperated at birth.

Im not sure on my Italian History but I thought that Italy became a country after Napolean was kicked

out so wouldnt that make Italian based more on French then the other way around.

WWII wasnt really a 2 front war untill D Day IMO. Before that we were in Africa fightin the Italians for the most part and

Rommel and after Africa we moved on to Italy and then D Day came so IMO it wasnt really that much of a two front war for

the Germans till then. It was Russia that broke the German army and Stalingrade. I think Germany lost close to a million

soldiers bye KIA or POW. Im not too sure about the exact number though. And The battle of Kursk took out nearly all of

Germanys tanks so when D Day came Germany was hurtin already making it relativly easy for us. Thats what I think at least

I agree with Repu, Lee's old avatar is due for some major humpage

Italic is just a language family, no I don't know why linguists base things the way they do I'm not a professional just a hack.

Italic includes:

Latin

Spanish

French

Portuguese

Rumanian

Catalan

and others of that ilk

The Germanic family of languages breaks down into two parts

English

Dutch

German

and the other side

Icelandic

Norwegian

Swedish

Danish

Other fun families include Blato-Slavic (Russian, Croat), Celect (Two familes, Irish, Scottish Gaelic, Manx and the other side which is Welsh, Cornish and Brenton). The Indo-Iranian family (Persian, Kurdish and it's other side, Hindu, urdu) then you have some of the one off languages like Greek, Aermenian and Albanian.

That's all Indoeuropean. Farsi, Tagalog and what not are pacific languages.

Class dismissed.
