How in the world is this car at 16k with several days left:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...4&category=6327

It has a salvage title for christ's sake, not to mention no performance mods to speak of except maybe brakes.

I mean i was shocked enough as it was when this car went for 15k with salvage title, unpainted bumper, etc. etc., but at least it was single turbo and seemed to be built right.

I just can't understand how pete's single turbo with everything someone could ask for doesn't get a single bid at 17k (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2431745469) and

94Touring couldn't get anything over like 12k or something, and then these cars with salvage titles go for 15+, it makes no sense to me.

Guess it says something about the people buying cars via ebay, or maybe not, i don't know.

i bought a car with a salvage title in maryland, but its clear here in NC, but then again I only paid $5,000. I wish I would have known about the title before hand though, car fax didnt come soon enough.

Its not that bad, but the color is ugly. He has an exhaust, looks like a greddy and probably some other work done. Those wheels look like ssr and aren't cheep. Did you run a carfax or something and find it was salvaged?

no, actually, a guy from the communist forum was looking into it seriously, and ran one on it, and he was *appalled* and tried to *warn* everyone else on the forum about it, as if i would not be honest about the new found facts.....

Well To be honest the first one is understandable. It is a low mileage Stock rx-7 which is hard to find. As for the salvage title people might have overlooked that when bidding. I quickly read the listing and did not see any mention of why it has a title like that.

Besides dropping the value of the car, what affect might a salvage title have?
