Please, explain to me how the fact that I like to speed on a FREEWAY makes me stupid...strange how people like you automatically assume that people like me are stupid...do you actually own an RX? If you do, you probably will end up babying it to death....people like me are the kind of people who make it so people like you can own this car. You're .. so boring. Learn to live a little. I'm perfectly aware of why they post speed limits....most people cannot handle themselves, nor pay enough attention to handle that kind of speed. I, however, can and do. Besides, it might not be necessary for me to use the street to get rid of my 'need for speed', so to speak, if there was a track around my area, however, there is nothing within a 4 hour drive, so you can just take you're excuses for why I shouldn't speed and stuff'em...as for stupidity, that's doing 110 on a street with walls, blind corners, and children playing in the yards...settings like these, low speeds are reasonable, and should be used...but if it's an open road, screw it, I'm gonna hit the throttle
BTW, Christi, I noticed that your sig says "Stock for now"...this tells me that you plan on modifying your car. An urge to modify the car tells me that you think stock setup is not fast enough. This need to go faster than the stock setup therefore makes your allegation that speed is stupid a double standard, meaning that for you to go fast is ok, but for me to go fast is stupid. I've been driving since I was fifteen, I've had one wreck to my name, and that was 3 years ago. My driving style has not changed. I'm on the road 3 times as much as a normal person, I think I am perfectly capable of handling my car, seeing as I obviously know it quite well.

whats the big deal? ive hit 120 in a 35 zone... and 174 in a 70 in my old 93 base any time i speed like that, its usually 3am when there is no cars around.. but its pretty typical for me to do 80-100 daily on the highway, and 45-65 in a 35.. like on the feeder road or something..

I'm confident in my abilities, but if I get in a wreck, it will be someone else's fault. Driving fast in a slow zone doesn't have a lot to do with the driver's ability, it has a lot to do with everything else around. We had a motorcyclist who was killed when someone sped through a light at 2 am, doing like 95 in a 40.
You will always think: "well, they see a speeding car coming, they'll know not to pull out." Then they pull out, right in front of, or right into you.
It took me merely 2 stops (tickets averted by knowing the cop) and having a kid to slow down. I learned this on a motorcycle: you shouldn't worry about your ability, just worry about every idiot on the road trying to kill you.
That kid bragging is like those people who brag about how they puked so much because they were so incredibly drunk.
Oh, and I speed. But I do it in an area where the only hazards are deer and pine trees on the side of the road (lots of places like these in n. fl).

thats another good point, i dont know if i could be more alert when i drive ALL the time.. not only when i speed, my eyes are constantly darting back and fourth, looking behind me, to all sides... ive been in two accidents in my life... ONE, i was doing the speed limit in a 35 and a drunk driver ran a stop sign and blind sided me.. the other... some drunk bitch backed up onto my car in a club parking lot... other than that.. of all the crazy and stupid **** ive done.. i havent even been CLOSE to being in an accident.. when i know im at my limit, i take it easy, or completely stop doing what im doing...

its a risk taken like any other.... when you go out drink and get drunk.. i KNOW some people drive home anyways.. and make it there ok, and sometimes they dont. I personally dont drink period. Other people go out and shoot guns in a "safe" area.. when sometimes the gun could accidentally go off and kill someone.. racing and speeding is just like any other "risk"

Have fun with the tickets/accidents/deaths/giving more reason for insurance companies and law enforcement to give it to young people in the ***.
There are far better things to do in life than speed on public roads and highways. Everyone who agrees with this guy above wont wake up until they have a bunch of tickets, maybe even license taken away, or if they are a real hardass about it, get in a wreck, maybe kill somebody, and hopefully learn their lesson.
At least do everyone a favor and do what I used to do. Find a straight stretch of highway with no cars and go nuts. Of course in this big flat open space its easy for the po po to see you, but hey, thats the chance you take.
Oh, and as for a special life, I dont know, but its better than not having a license, being responsible for a death or more, prison time, etc etc. There are plenty of other ways to get an adrenaline rush besides speeding.
I hope some people will read that and take something away from it instead of thinking, "he disagrees with me, I have to stick up for my opinion and flame him"
What I've said is a truth, you WILL get anally fisted by multiple government agencies and possibly more if you dont learn to control your speeding habit. Thats all I have to say.

Well.. being stupid and making stupid decisions like that.. I just cant' stand. If you're gonna speed, dude, do it safely... speeding "so" fast.. isn't really "all" that fun.... I could care less if you own a damn ferrari.
