was just given an 80's something yamaha towny. With its glorious 50cc of 2 stroke power, ill soon be flying down the biggest hill i can find.. at probably 20 mph. future upgrades may include.. pedals. surprisingly thing has 3600 miles on it.

Interesting! There's a 1976 Yamaha Chappy sitting in my garage. It also has a 50cc 2-stroke mill in it. It will hit speeds approaching 25 mph.

It seems very scary, apparently does 35mph on bicycle tires. Ive yet to ride it, been sitting for probably 10 years so took the carb out for cleaning. everything does look to be in one piece on it though so shouldnt be hard to get it going again.

a freind of mine that used to live across the street from me when we where kids had one of them. they had a large yard so we would beat the **** outta that thing. jumped it many times and the lil bastard kept taking more abuse. man it was fun, ahh to be young again

well i have the towny running now. have to fix the throttle cable but once thats done its road worthy. surprisingly all the lights still worked and came on after i started it!

the damn little thing moves surprisingly well! Just got it going pretty well and had it up to 50 before i got scared..
