a panhandle is landlocked, or generally has more then 2 sides landlocked.
a peninsula is an "un"landlocked panhandle.
therefore florida = teh peninsula

a panhandle is just a narrow strip of land.....it does not have to be landlocked. are you telling me that the alaskan panhandle is landlocked???
