my brother noticed the greenskeepers in palo alto use an electric leaf blower that is hooked to a portable gas generator.



if this is saving the planet, or money, its time to move to france....

It's the same as electric cars. Apparently it costs 40 dollars a month for the electricity to keep a homemade electric car just to boot around until the batteries die a couple miles away and you have to get your dad to tow the ******* thing back to the house. 40 dollars more a month for electricity...and where is this energy coming from? Let's say a big ******* coal fired plant like they had in England in the early 1900s cause its more fun that way.

As long as the cord was green, it shouldn't be a problem..



Its as bad as the anti idling BS here, they want people to shut off their engines if they idle for more than 10 seconds, of course they are not taking into account the injector pulse width over fuel when you start a car, to heat the cat, stabilize the idle, and recharge the power used from the battery, and of course the energy required to replace the starter 3 times a year..

Even the EPA, as silly as they are said that a diesel has to idle for at least 3 minutes to use the same amount of energy used to restart it.

thats the same way a prius saves energy!
