Cuz they dont like it.. it's their taste.. I like it.. But I do think that a paint job like that should be accompanied by aftermarket wheels to complete the "look".

I say do the cheapest possible thing to it and drop more money on the FD's. I mean why 3 go for 4. Oh and i think CF looks ricer not painted. You dont see the race cars made of it not painted showing all the CF.

That's because they paint them to plaster the sponsor all over the damned car.

I say just put it back to stock form. Is this a daily driven car? You are going to get CF, which in turn makes a car look like *** in my opinion, and then just say you get into another fender bender, you gotta deal with getting ANOTHER carbon fiber hood and grille. I had a buddy of mine do it recently to his V-Dub Jetta, and it looks like complete ***.

why does it look bad? (94t/dave/rob)?

Because it just does, lol. Its like buying a hood and never bothering to put paint on the primer.

this is at no cost to me.. why buy stock when you have the option.. 25lb reduction

not a fan of unpainted cf either but considerin theres no line disruption... partial paint flows pretty well imho

have plans on aftermarket wheels repu.. the stockers will get snow tires..

and theres no reason why ya cant have a bit of fun with the daily rowtareh..

shes been the top two in her class the last two autocrosses ive taken her to....

the 1st photchop looks better

I just dont like CF in the sun, or in the shade for that matter, with some wheels it wont be bad, but its still a daily driver, maybe the CF hood wont hold up that great, then again if it doesnt you can repair it and then fully paint it at that point. There is a very good chance you will get some print through with the hood, have the shop run it through 3-4 bake cycles before priming or painting it.

The problem with c/f bonnets/hoods is not the c/f it's the fact that the car ends up more than one colour. It also says to me that whoever's it is is more concerned with image than the real benefit of c/f in the first place.
