im being serious about this, this is a feild i want to get into and do for a living.



but if i dont have to go get a 28k grant for schooling to get certified, then i woudl rather go that route.

To get into it you really dont need the school and while it would help you get in and make more money when you first start working its not needed. All you really have to do is go in and start at the bottom as "bitch boy" and then learn and move up as your skills improve. You can do this being a mechanic or anything else. Just go in talk to them and they will start you off.

after having a good talk with rob, it seems like i would be much better of starting at a shop sweeping, sanding, taping off and washing cars compared to moving to houston and paying alot for school.

for the record, I dont work in autobody



autobody labor rate-$35-$45 a hour

marine fiberglass rate-$125 a hour



you can do the math and see why the marine business is much more profitable for the owner of a shop and those working in one
