Here is what red-rx7 posted on rx8club

Now.. Here is the deal!
Behind the magical curtain, people are arguing over legal rights to these sites. Therefore, that has caused problems in both areas. RX8 was shut down, because the person who has control of the servers / hosting / original forum domains was not allowed to be admin of the site. He believes it is his site, and run's its connectivity to the internet. He was denied access, so he shut it down.
Today, we got the site back up and running for the USER community. The original thought was to have this site run for the community as normal, while legal proceedings occured behind the curtain.
In a flip-flop style of action, the owner of "www.rx7club.com" domain turned it off because he was removed of admin access.
I am very dissapointed overall, for this matter should have been settled behind the scene without user community involvement. The forum should remain up and running, in a manner where no user would have ever known. Yet, some peoples "EGO's" got to the better of them, and down the forum went.
The RX7 site should be up and running today. The new domain will be www.rx7club.com until all legal involvement is settled.

Just how much money is made from these forums? Does anyone have an idea of what they charge advertisers? And how much does it cost to actually run and maintain the site? I'm just looking for ball parks.
I have been an observer at nopistons ever since the bastards at the 'club' banned me repeatedly, for saying that the site is run by money hungry selfish freaks that don't care about the users. I guess this turning off of servers proves my point.
It is just a shame that the Canadian section over there is more frequented than here but I will personally try to change that.

Most forums start out with a passion for something, from there its members and the owner of the site determines which direction it will run. Some are happy just to have a place to go and hang out and get information, and some want more.
Money is the root of all evil and people show thier true colors when it comes to money
