I am talking simple dollars and cents. I allocate X percentage of my income to support Save the Wombats & Single Strippers who are lactating. IF Save the Ferbish Lousewort Foundation convinces me to donate to them also, the that means that instead of 2 organizations getting 50% of X$$$$, with the addition of a third charity wanting my $$$ they will end up with 33%of X.

The amount of $$$$ that is donated doesnt really change, just the distribution

LOL Why not? Where else should we post this? :P I'm surprised it's been going this long without any real stupidity thus far. But I really have to get back to work and actually leave the office in a minute...

Ahh, but it can! For most it can. It can mean going to McDonalds one less time per week (LOL) or as for me, just one less time going out to eat per week. That $15 or so I spend could go to other things.

As inanimate concluded, there is no simple answer. I know that, but I can't stand just doing nothing either, in the same regard. This just seems more legit than some other things, given Bono's serious attitude toward world hunger and all, you've seen what he's done, if not, go read about it.

And with that, I have to go. This made my day fly! Woot! But I have to do some errends outside the office, and won't even be on a PC till like...tomorrow.

Looooove and peeeeeace! God bless...

NIYET! I made a conseous decision about the level of charitable donations I make. That is between me and the cosmic muffin. If I save any more $$$$ by cutting back, it will be to support my own indulgences for my family.

With your line of reasoning, everyone should drive a FC and donate EVERYTHING else to help rent BONO a FD to arrive at his fundraiser (The same note ESPECIALLY applies to the United Way and all othe charities that skim a percentage off the "take" as OVERHEAD {what a scam}0

This is Krystal, I'm too lazy to sign in.

How many countries have we tried to help, and turns out they never wanted it? Number one thing that money needs to go to is to some sort of contraception. I cannot stand people who just pop out kids because either they just wanna or can't stop *******. If you can't afford them, STOP MAKING THEM. And I know...."but they don't know, or how can we tell them what to do?" Well, if we give them all this money, can't there be stipulations? We can't help all these people with AIDS if the people who are supposed to be responsnible are causing the number to go up. It is not our fault that their kids have AIDS, or any ohter problems. Hell, most people in THIS country can't afford to take there kids to the Dr, even with insurance, because of super high copays and deadbeat parents. And yes, all organizations are going to have problems with misapplied monies because some people just want a free ride.

:steps off soapbox::

Sorry for the one big paragraph, I can't afford good schooling. Anyone want to donate to the Krystal needs to pay for school before she can get Financial Aid fund?

Mr, phenixdown XII,

About a month ago the breuderholf community thats in walden , held a bird a thon for Orphans to raise money for the victems of the tsunamis of december 26th, the day you, you, your brother and I were celebrating Christmas at Walden baptist with the carols you sung and we played, anyways, I donated for that fund and about thirty people from my chuch alone donated to the fund.

Like yourself I consider everday what wealth surrounds my existance, which inlcude friends i.e. you , David, joe C, and evryone else. I pray every day for those in africa Iraq, worldwide who are less fortunate than that of us.

Jess, and little mary are in my prayers to. Keep me up dated, I just now paused and prayed for the Ray's, Raya's (Jessica and Andy. W

Everyone, Education is the key to resolving the problems. We in America grow up with the "learn from others mistakes" policy, thus in High school we have Hygene/sex ed courses, I don't know the stats, but In america the aides deseases have been reduced because of this education.

HA HA so you voted for Bush and now yer rallying behind and a more or less anti bush administration organization cause the republicans are focusing on the EXACT things they said they would during their campaign?

Makes no sense to me, but to each his own. You should have thought about all this when you cast your vote last election. Bush and co never promised to end world hunger, aids or for that matter even focus their efforts on anything similar.

They said they would focus on Iraq and terrorism no matter what the cost to american people and they have. It's easy to say since we've already acquired the largest national debt in US history to tack another few billion on and help a good cause, but it ain't gonna happen.

Hey look at the bright side, in some round about way maybe your vote did help thrid world countries... with the tax breaks and the lightening of trade tarifs on many foreign countries we've made grade progress in establishing a middle class for these countries while making incredible progress on eliminating our own (middle class). Inevitably as labor increases in these countries, US based companies will have to spread the wealth out to various third world entities.

I'm certainly one to be thankful for what I have and I am the first one to throw my last $10 bucks or $100 or whatever at something I believe in, however a bunch of overprivilaged, over fed, over medicated rocks stars and movie stars aren't going to accomplish ****.

Maybe you should have spent your time concerned about **** like this during the last election then worrying about whether or not gay people can get hitched, maybe you should have put that into perspective when in the grand scheme of things it was really a rediculous thing to be arguing over... just maybe.

Of course that's only one man's opinion.
