They're a little closer to the engine, though.

I just thought there's probably a better place for them than so exposed, although in this pic there's mesh over them.

Yeah I understand, I was just also wondering why you would put a turbo in such a weird place, even in a rear-engine car.

the turbo in a 930-996 is about a foot off the ground....you have broken off suspension parts and ripped off the oilpan berfore the turbo hits anything...so you have more to worry about than a scratched turbo housing

That is the most ******* stupid turbo setup i have ever seen

Its hilarious, all the comments on it are comments that could be made by anybody who puts any turbo on their cars would make. Theres nothing about how their design is any good.

And there is nothing seriously technical on their website either. Laws of physics would say it's not a good decision, given the gas energy loss.

what the **** are you talking about?!!?!

if you have a ******* rear engined car....where the **** are you gonna put the turbo?!?! in the front????/

the turbo will be in the rear because the engine is there, the intercooler will be in the rear too, and guess where the alternator is....

moving it lower towards the bottom is for cooling issues, away from the engine in more open aired area.........holy ****...

get off line and go shoot yourself for being such a ******* moron
