Didn't know they were FB from 81, theres always something to learn!

We got the same as US, except 89-91 TII's made 215 hp here

FD's had same power but ran till 98.

We had FD 'SP' & 'SP2' as well with 280 & 340 hp respectively. Lots of carbon bits, BBS wheels & Brembos and other tweaks. Collectors items now, 12 SP & 6 SP2 at well over $100K new! Similar spec appeared later (99?) in the RZ sold in Japan

Trivia trivia trivia

The feds mandated a 17 digit VIN in 81. So instead of it being just SA22C-xxxxxx, its JM1FB33xxxxxxxxx. (I didn't count all the x's)

I've heard about the SPs, though I've only seen one picture of one.

Hey Robbomaz, we've had a guy contact our car club a couple of times now with both a SP1 and a SP2 Rx7 for sale. He tells us that he has offical papers from a company called 'Mazda' stating his SP2 is the only one on the planet. The pric tags he has are $70000au for the SP1 and $150000au for the SP2. Certianly has the prices to be legit!!
