Ok....
Scariest thing that ever happened to me...
In SC, we were way off in the country outside Myrtle Beach with a bunch of friends, ghost hunting...
We were on this old abandoned road where a bunch of people were appanently murdered way back in the slavery days...
Bout 3/4 way thru the story, we start smelling dead meat. Really bad. We were on a small bridge, over a creek. The smell got worse and worse, and you could hear a small pattering on the water...
Well, I got brave, and went to have a look. I grabbed my lantern, and peered over the edge of the bridge. There half sunk in the water was a rotting corpse of a deer. There were 2 snapping turtles eating away at his neck. I ******* jumped. It was pitch black, and I ran the light over the water, and BAM. There it was.
The water was still, so it didn't flow from upstream... The smell must have been when the turtles opened up his neck... God it was nasty.
