Why do you say that? :P

I visited their new shop they opened up, it's kind of crazy. They opened up in this old strip mall location, whereas they repaved the WHOLE parking lot, as well as refinished the face of the WHOLE strip mall (all the old shops next door).

It was kind of annoying trying to drive through town the opening day, everyone was there...like wth...alluva sudden everyone loves cruiser bikes that can't make a figure 8 in a stadium parking lot...

They have a good, blown up, life size sticker photo of Paul and his Dad on the glass at the shop...kinda ummm...lame or wierd...

I'll do an FD photo shoot in front of it

PLease dont take this in the wrong vein. I am not trying to poop on anyones success. I only wish my shop could do so well. But PAULIE has got to be the WORST fabricator I have ever seen. He does have artistic ability and vision, but when the extent of his "skills" are a unibit and some globby *** welds, I take exception.

I hate to have to be the optomotrist who tells him in 15 years he is going blind due to his LACK of proper eye protection. He jumps all over Mikey's **** for setting down a grinder the wrong way, but he HIMSELF does not take proper eye protection.

Taking the S&S Specialities catalog and ordering a bunch of parts, tacking on some metal pieces does not qualify as BUILDING a bike.

There are a TON more talented and resourceful builders out there, who did not catch the Discovery Channels eyes. The fake drama has also gotten old.

I have said it before and I'll say it again: Take any of the top fabricators, but them in identically equipped shops, give them a stack of RAW material, an engine and tranny (that needs to be rebuilt); lock the doors and lets see what happens.

A Unibit does have its place, and most of the time its in the drawer!

I take no offense. I have been told of that critique many times.

I am in a way, dissapointed. Paul used to hold Bible Study's at his house, which is how I knew him. His sister went to HS with me, and I took her to the prom and she's awesome. She told Discovery that she didn't want to be on the show, just to keep her privacy.

I've met and know all of them, and for the most part, I didn't know they had such short tempers. I tell people about paul and how I know him and they can hardly believe he's all that "religious".

I find that a lot in our local Christian churches too, some of the really nice guys become someone else when they are under pressure either at a church softball league or at work.

As well, I think sometimes the drama is *required* to keep viewers attention. I know if I owned a shop (say...a ROTARY shop! Woot!), I'd be reputable and have a bunch of awesome guys with awesome attitudes (and rotary knowledge too!) and might be quite boring to film because we'd all get along...perhaps all the pranks (which we all do all the time with those I know) would be worth filming.

Nonetheless, back to on topic, I can't wait to get this FD! :P

I'm impressed they have the stones to televise that they slapped together a bike in 10 days and charge $150,000 for it. That takes guts or insanity, one or the other.
