If you want to see how free socialized medicine is , come to Canada, get a job and look at your payroll deductions from your paycheque. It will leave you breathless..
On top of all the deductions, everything you buy will be taxed, and then they will tax the tax with a goods and services tax. Once you are done with the taxes, then you will be completely shocked at all the user fees you have to pay with what little after tax income you have.
Then you can listen to your government admonish the public about the lack of personal savings people have and the heavy use of Credit among average Canadians... Wehave to, because none of us have any F'ing money left after paying taxes.

i live in scotland we have free health care, i find tax avoidance helps balance it all out, I have private health care but only because i can afford it i just dont know why you guys are happy for all the people in your country living in poverty who are left to die

Are you familiar with Medicaid? I'm not sure on the limitations, but it's a pre-existing government-run health care program in the US that is for people with certain income limits, it is a state-administered program (as opposed to federal).

many people abuse the medicaid too, that's why it's so low on money. many women in my hometown don't work at all (not because they can't find a job, just cause they don't want to work) and just have babies ever so often to keep getting more medicaid and to keep getting more food stamps and wik. wik (not sure if i'm spelling the acronym right) is a program that gives you free groceries at the store for low income families that are about to and just had children up to a few months old. once one kid is out of the wik program they have another
