my grandfather had a old Ro80 parked in the garage collecting dust untill atleast mid 80's too bad he didn't keep it. never knew it was a rotary.

By 1969, the rot had set in & NSU fell into the waiting arms of Audi. Via Audi, the VW group allowed further development of the engine & there was talk of a 3 rotor powered Audi-100 for 1977. History shows us they went for the 5-cyl engine instead.


Ah yes....I love that little fact. I drive an Audi 90 with the 5cyl as the DD and have the GSL-SE in the garage. KNOW YOUR ROOOTS!

What I want to know is why I can't have a NSU in my nopistons.com garage? On that note - there's definitely more NSU's here than rotary Mazdas . I've only ever seen one Rx7 in Ireland, but have seen a handful of NSU's, and the only rotary I have ever been in was one my friends grandparents had.

My uncle's cousin I think still has a 5 cylinder Audi. Nice car, but would have been better with a 3 rotor.
