Does it make more sense to buy crap now and need to replace it later or wait till you have the money and do it right the first time? This is for Vosko BTW

I'd say save the cash and do it the right away. Make sure you can afford the beer to go with the project.

It depends on what the stuff is. If I could buy something to get my car going instead of waiting, I would, even if I had to replace it after one summer. It doesn't make sense to me to have a garage trophy during the summer.

If it is a great deal that is rarely matched then go for it. If things don't pan out you can still sell it for at least what you bought it for if not more. So maybe the gauge should be, get it if you can buy it low enough to sell it later for a profit.
