Motorola MOTO Q music 9m, apparently it's brand new. They said I was the first one to buy one from that store. I have no idea how to use all the crap on it, it's gonna take awhile. Took me a solid 5 minutes to figure out how to make a call.
I wasn't even supposed to be able to upgrade to a new phone yet, but last time I was in there the manager said they'd transfer over my $100 (toward a new phone) credit from my canceled line to my current line. So I went in there yesterday, and he said he's stand by his word, even though he made a mistake, which just blew my mind. Rare these days. So I got $100 off, $50 rebate, and additional $100 off for signing up for the data plan (which was required, but I can cancel it any time I want). It's neat surfing the web from my phone, but nopistons won't let me log in from it. I like that it's upgradeable, with a big enough memory card I can watch movies and stuff. Documents on the go with Windows Mobile 6 software; excel, word, etc. (which I wanted). Nice camera, and the unit has great finish and texture to it (that rubberized texture, won't slide around when you set it down). I just need to figure out how to add stuff, like I can't watch vids off the web right now. http://www.techshout.com/images/motoq-music.jpg |
Can you actually call people with that or are you usually too busy aligning the space shuttle with the internetational space station?

I see what you did there!
Really though, I usually like things simple. But I used to have a Palm Pilot (like 6 years ago) and really, it made my life so much easier. But I hated carrying it around along with my phone. Since my palm died, I've been wanting a phone/organizer type unit, but they've been too expensive until now. I'm so damned forgetful that it's nice to have somewhere to keep my appointments and to-do list, along with playing music, and transfer MS Office files. In addition to making calls, of course. I think the internet function is pretty dumb, which is why I'll be canceling it after this month. |

LOL, I dunno why that made me chuckle. Anyhow, my theory is if I can't remember to do it, or to be somewhere or someone's name then it obviously wasn't all that important to me in the first place. Of course I don't even own a watch so what the **** do i know. i've had a hard time finding simple phones the last couple times I've bought them. After throwing 2 motorola's in the garbage I went back to nokia, we'll see how it holds up. On a side note, don't ever even turn your phone on in the Bahamas. We got charged $6.75 for every call that went to voicemail, one min for the ring in 2.25, one for the transfer to a voicemail number in Florida 2.25 and one for the message 2.25 = $6.75 which was around $450 when we got the bill from cingular, att, whatever the **** they are this week. |
dayum!

If you're on the home screen and press one of the red buttons, it automatically does numbers. If you're somewhere where you can type (web function, text messaging, whatever) you have to hit a shift key to do numbers.
Not very difficult, once you figure out how to get back to the home screen every time (turns out there's a button for that). |
and if you hit shift *** #71 you control this
