I am still uploading the walk around vids they are kinda big, here are the pics, the full album can be seen by Clicking Here!

There are 13 pics in all, I am not posting them all here, hit the album to take a look at the rest. The videos are here when they are uploads: Black RX-8 Walkaround Yellow RX-8 Walkaround 1 Yellow #2 Yellow #3 I have to go back tomorrow to drive it, it had just arrived and not had the plastic off or anything as you can see from the pics. I did hear it run sounds nice, the engine is quite a ways back, the alternator is behind the front torque brace if that gives you any idea, it clearly says Mazda 13B right on the block, they did change the oil filter mount a bit to bring it out into the engine compartment. My initial thoughts, nice classy car, won't seat 4 adults comfortably, but you could easily put 2 kids or 2 midgets in the back. Seats are great, rotor symbols all over. Would I buy one? Prolly not, not really my style, but I dunno maybe if I had the cash, the car has some Bling for sure and can't wait to see what else becomes available. 247 HP, comfortable front seat, interesting gauge layout, pretty much like all the other pics you've seen I just got to play around with it some. They took off the engine cover, let me tear some plastic off, crawl around, etc,etc... I'll post some more thoughts in a few, i still haven't eaten LOL |
Yea one other thing I should note, the paint was not impressive. I noticed a lot of orange peel in the sunlight and the showroom light. Definetely would consider having a good paint job done on it if I dropped the 30K

I'm ready to see one in person now. I would turn in my C230K for one. I wouldn't even have gotten the C230K if the RX8 was out when I needed to buy a new daily. K |
Where the **** is the Money Tree that grows in Columbus?

I've never liked the new Mazda symbol very much. I like the old one that resembled the Renault emblem or whatever it was. I think they got rid of it in like 94 or something?

Hell, I put a couple of [drunken] adults in the back of my TII in a pinch. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

The RX-8 looks cool, I can't waite to see one in person. no there was one that was more of a diamond shape with a circle drawn around it. basically the renault symbol inside a circle which was pre-toilet bowl emblem. but due to it';s resemblance to the renault symbol they then went from sharp-edged diamond shape in a circle to rounded edge flame-design-that-looks-like-toilet emblem. kevin. |
you can see the mazda emblem history here:
http://www.mx-3.com/emblem/ and here's what he's talking about: http://www.mx-3.com/emblem/emb-92a.jpg compared to toilet bowl: http://www.mx-3.com/emblem/emb-92-96a.jpg kevin. |

K how would you like to beat Rikki Tikki Tavi to the punch and have the first boosted RX-8 in the States? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png |
lol, I like the way Goodfella's thinking.. that would surely piss Rikki off..

my friend works at a mazda dealer and he got a ride last night from the rx8 rep that is going around to all the dealers.
he said it was an amazing car overall. fast to him cause he drives a 330ci, but he said it was smooth and really comfortable ect. |
I wanted one. Then I heard they are working on a Mazdaspeed RX-8. So now I will wait. I am disapointed how long it is taking to filter these cars out to the dealers. I was told by my local dealership (actually a salesman that got my phone # and name from the Mazda-Rev-it-up school) that the RX-8 would be there by the end of June. There still are not any there.
I went ahead and bought a CooperS to tool around in for the next 2 years. I figure it will take that long for Mazdaspeed to get their crap together with the RX-8. If they do forced induction on the Mazdaspeed RX-8 I am all over it. I like the RX-8 a lot it is definatly a head turner it looks like nothing else on the road and I like that a lot. I keep mixing up the new 350Z and the Infinity and the Lexus up with each other. Its another batch of cars that look like each other. Thats why I like the body on the 8 it is bold and will stand apart from the others. |
The 350Z and the lexus are the same thing as far as the Mazdaspeed RX-8 who know, could be anytime, could never, but my guess would be before the 2 year mark.

The G35 Coupe and the 350z are the for all intensive purposes the same car, although I would pick the G35 over the Z any day! |
no offense, great administrator, but nissan and infiniti are one company, toyota and lexus are a separate company
|
mazda seems to have a problem with that yellow paint, it looks
like **** on the Mazda6 as well. I didnt get to sit in the one at the Auto Show for that long, there was a line of people waiting to get in it, but I do plan on kicking the tires on one locally |
Looks like the ultimate daily driver to me, comfort, good handling, great power, room for some friends. What else do ya need?
|
I think those engine covers are BS. Is there any real pupose in putting those on or is at mainly an aesthetic thing?
|
They yellow sux and yea sorry I meant Infinity.

[/quote] thanks for the info punkass....but your not 100% correct R32,and R33 are CA legal thanks to a Co. about a mile from Nissan Motors in Gardena, (I cant remember the name). I live between the 2, so I get sneak peeks at new Nissans Infinitis. I've seen PLENTY of R34's over the years... Saw the Z before ANYONE had pics in any mag.... I looked... Followed it back to Nissan(I had a Z at the time)and drove my girl crazy talking about it for a month..... |

For that you will get your ass bitchslapped. Second, the next Skyline DOES NOT have a registered chassis code. Since BASE said that the G35 was a JDM Skyline chassis, we were clearly talking about the NEXT Skyline (R35?) not the current and past Skylines which obviously have registered chassis (Duh, they are in production or were). So, the NEXT Skyline DOES NOT have a registered chassis, the chassis that would look like the one the G35 Coupe and Z33 were built on. GET IT, or do I need to spell it out for you? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/rolleyes.gif |
