No Power Sucks!
#1
Hey all Scott (Phinsup) and I lived through Wilma!! No internet and no power we are lookin at three weeks or so.... Sucks nuts, so needless to say Scott will not be online... I'm at work on a generator so it's lots of fun here. Our house lived no major damage -- fence didn't do so well snapped a few of the 4X4's so Scott repaired it yesterday but it has a serious permanent lean the rest of it is tilted from the strong winds. 3 palm trees in the front yard tipped a little so we are going to try and straighten them out. Other than that all is good. The gas shortages have begun here about 1/2 mile line at each gas station -- I'm trying to hold out the hurricane was monday.... so maybe some more will get power and open up.....
How did everyone else here fair -- as if you have internet either...

If you find an extension cord long enough, I'd be happy to help y'all out. Glad you made it through alright.
THANKS!! We have a good size generator -- so for now we have enough gas -- robing from the boat -- So there is hot water for showers and a cold fridge and TV so we're not roughing it like some brave/stupid individuals. I can't imagine those without generators - cold showers.. ehhhh. It's been cold which has been a blessing - it's starting to warm up and our generator isn't big enough for air conditioning so we will be sweating to death ... Which really sucks cuz work doesn't have AC either so I'm hoping for miraculous power.
The storm was wicked, we left three windows uncovered so we could watch. WOW is all I can say. There was a good foot high tidal wave in the pool, water was just being picked up in waves from the pool and rain and just going in sheets it was nuts and the wind was something else they say in port saint lucie it was clocked at 120-130. Did some serious damage to light poles and power lines. Scott has some good damage picts he will get up as soon as we get internet at home, some houses really got damaged and big trees snapped in half. We were fortunate.
