nextel is very good , sprint is good, cingular has good service but customer service has business hours which is ******* crazy and i had some bitch hang up on me when i was being over charged and she didnt want to transfer me to a manager, im really really considering canceling my plan and going with either sprint or nextel, not signing a contract and paying full price for a couple phones... its worth it to not be locked into a ******* 2 year contract with a company that ******* sucks

Well here's the thing. I bought a Sprint Ready Link phone yesterday and it didn't work with my friends who have Nextel Quick Connect. It will in about a year, but right now, the two aren't interusable (probably not a real word). So, I went back to the place where I bought it, cancled the new Sprint phone and bought a Nextel one, a Motorola i860.
It gets delivered on thursday so everything should work fine.
I have the National 300 Incoming plan, with free incoming calls, Unlimited Quick Connect Service for like 50 bucks.
Sprint uses CDMA as their backbone network, which is the second oldest network available, T-Mobile uses GSM which was derived from Europe and works great in basements and brick homes (such as mine) where CDMA and Sprint sucked ***. I couldn't use my old phone from Sprint, not my new one in my house almost at all.
Nextel is on something totaly different, iDEN. It's like comprised mainly of a digital network and GSM which should work in my place and basements and elevators like my sisters T-Mobile (her ******* phone gets reception EVERYWHERE, even in TUNNELS).
