I figure I get cars compression tested enough. It costs $85-95 depending on where it is done and I have to drive about 45 minutes one way to the closest place that does. Why the hell don't I buy the stupid thing?!?

I am so excited! It is in the mail. I have heard some great things about it over on the evil forum. Has anyone else used it?

Looks like a fun tool to have around if you do a lot of compression checks. I haven't felt the need to go beyond the conventional gauge with the valve core removed. Last compression test I paid for was when I was a young lad with an RX-2. You can always rent it to other rotorheads.

Yeah the word is already out in my area and I don't even have it yet. Already there are a few who want to rent it from me.

I have started to buy/sell FD's so this little tool will come in handy. I can just take it and the laptop with me when I go look at a car. No more guessing!

You know whats really funny, I have found that some of the fastest cars I've ever worked on do not have good compression tests. Just goes to show, static tests are not the end all be all...
