sounds nice, PICS!

What does your dad have?
He has a 2001 Yamaha Road Star Silverado, fairly customized. It has dragger pipes (loud as ****) lots and lots of extra chrome, custom paint job with no graphics or logos custom seat with backrests for front and rear seat, highway bars/engine guard and a jet kit for the carb. The engine is a 1600cc air cooled v-twin that makes a nice rumble.

mine is soon to get dragger pipes, risers for the handlebars, highway bars, and lots more chrome.

What would be a good starter bike? I plan on getting my motorcycle licence after I finish getting my full car licence.

My personal opinion is that it depends on your physical size. My dad told my I shouldn't get a bike that I couldn't lift if it fell on me, and I agree with that. How tall are you, and are you looking to get a sport bike or cruiser?
